Policies

REGISTRATION: To enroll in Dance Centre North, call Dance Centre North for Registration Form and complete details. Phone: (315) 455-8641 Then fill out the registration form and bring it along with the registration fee and the 1st installment tuition payment during our Open House, August 17, 18, and 19 from 4 - 8pm. Placement class for new students: August 17 at 5:30 p.m. for ages 8 - 12, and 6:15 p.m. for ages 13 and up.

PAYMENTS/MISSED CLASSES: All installment payments are due on dates listed in the 2009 - 2010 Calendar. There will be a $20.00 charge for any returned checks. Missed classes due to illness may be made up at the student's convenience in another class time during the year. Classes canceled due to inclement weather may also be made up at your convenience. No credits will be issued without a letter from your physician stating inability to participate for an extended period of time due to medical reasons.

ATTENDANCE: Students are expected to attend every class in the level that they are assigned and arrive on time. Progress in class is dependent upon regular and consistent participation. Absences are considered excused only for medical or serious personal reasons, and must be phoned into the office.

CLASS ATTIRE:

Ballet:
(GIRLS) Solid black leotard, no multiple strap backs, pink tights and pink ballet slippers for Ballet levels I through Advanced. Pre-ballet may wear any solid color leotard with pink tights and pink ballet slippers.
(BOYS) White t-shirt, black tights, short black shorts, white socks, and white ballet slippers.

Modern, Jazz, Tap: Any solid color leotard and footless tights. Tap students please wear tights with feet or convertibles. Tan buckle tap shoes for beginning tap students.

All Classes: Hair must be worn up into a bun. Short hair must be secured away from face. No excessive jewelry, leg or thigh warmers, shorts, t-shirts, skirts or sweat pants may be worn during class.
