Closings:

If the Syracuse City Schools and North Syracuse Schools are closed because of the weather and there are weather advisories, then Dance Centre North will be closed. If the Syracuse City Schools and North Syracuse Schools are closed but the weather is fine in the afternoon, then there will be dance that day. If all afterschool activities are closed because of the weather, then Dance Centre North will be closed. A message will be left on the answering machine at Dance Centre North when dance classes will be closed due to the weather.

Walk with the Poor:

This year Dance Centre North is giving the opportunity to all of our dancers to assist with Walk with the Poor. There are more than 100 million children in the world who won't go to school today because they can't afford it. For most of them if they can't go to school they have no hope of working their way out of poverty. We can help change the lives of these children and young adults as we did last year with the Smile Train campaign. Each month we will designate dates that students may wear leotards that are not in our dress code. We will collect $1.00 (or whatever you want to give) from each student who wishes to participate. http://www.walkwiththepoor.org and read some of the profiles of students and young adults waiting for the opportunity to continue their education. We will choose a young person (they are all deserving) to which our contributions will assist.

Anyone who takes classes the week of February 23 - February 28.
